We’re born into this world, given a bunch of abilities and talents, but no instruction manual on how to use them.
The result? We muddle through our younger years trying to fit in, all the while thinking there is something wrong with us.
We may be inherently shy and highly sensitive and those around us don’t understand why we prefer our own company or that of our dog, cat or horse to other people. (That’s the Water element, by the way.)
As we get more mature, we start to see, through trial and error, what works and what doesn’t. We still wrestle with fitting in, pleasing others, not wanting to rock the boat and avoiding emotional backlash.
The result?
We are beginning to define ourselves and have some inkling of what we are capable of, but circumstances don’t allow us to follow our heart whispers. Instead, we chase after financial security and deny our potential.
Here’s an example.
Imagine someone who is highly sensitive and is a talented artist, lets say a singer. She works in law enforcement. Granted, she is more compassionate than others on the force, but she doesn’t fit in and her life force is stifled. But she is there because of the pay and benefits.
Take another highly sensitive, compassionate person who has a career in a large corporation crunching numbers. She has a strong Earth work ethic, but her heart longs to rove the world.
Then something happens. Here comes the wakeup call. It can be an accident, an illness, losing our job, a split in our relationship or the kids leaving home. It could be something unexpected that shakes up our life and makes us stop and ask, “What else is there?”
The result?
We begin an inner journey to discover who we really are, why we are here and how to live out a joyous and meaningful life. How to live out your Soul’s desire. Kill off the villains and let’s start a new life story.
We may feel an inner urge that we must do more, become bigger than we currently are and we timidly probe the depths of our being. Before we can step fully onto our path, life circumstances have to align with your Soul, your heart and mind.
This is the stage where I can be of service to you and encourage you along the path to your destiny. I’d love to show you how to take the abilities and talents you were born with and write a thriller story about your life.
Ok, maybe you don’t want a thriller novel, but how about a story that includes love and romance, a healthy strong body, satisfying work and a supportive group of people where you feel valued, respected and accepted for who you are.
I’ve spent years- a lifetime- seeking answers, mostly for why I have psoriasis. I have come to the conclusion that psoriasis has been a driving force to make me seek out what I’m supposed to do and how I could overcome my fears to do it.
I think and talk a lot about purpose, Soul’s mission and destiny. I’ve always felt I have had a destiny but even when I started understanding more of why I am here, I was terrified to engage with it. It felt too powerful. I sensed it was fears of repeating other lifetimes where I had power to wield and had done harm.
So here I am! I’m a role model for you. If I can come out of the psychic closet and liberate my Fire, so can you!

I would like to share an example of the story of a Soul working through your Sun. It has been highly simplified.
I have six planets in Leo and my Ascendant is in Sagittarius. Both Fire. You’d think that with that much Fire, I’d be off the planet all of the time (I am a certain amount!). I would be bold, loud, the life of the party. You’ve probably met people who have a Leo Sun sign and they are friendly, chatty, bold, colorful, dramatic and opinionated.
Well, I’m all of those things, but in secret! I’m hugely shy, thanks to all of my Fire being marooned on a desert island surrounded by deep water. The Fire in my chart is trapped by Water. Water likes to be quiet and hide. If that’s not enough, Saturn, the taskmaster, makes sure I don’t have too much fun. Saturn says, “Do your chores before you can go play. Get that job finished before you quit.” Have you heard that from your parents or bosses?
So I’m a deeply sensitive, closet Leo. You wouldn’t believe how scary and vulnerable it has been to come out into the open and be here talking with you. My first inclination is to procrastinate and not engage.
This is an example of interesting conundrums that show up in a chart. Have you wondered about why you don't act the way your charts say you are supposed to? Perhaps you have some trapped energies.
The Soul expresses through the Ascendant. The Ascendant is the place where the Soul energy first meets the physical world and the Soul has to figure out what it means to be human. The Soul doesn't get an owners manual, either and it’s a process of trial and error that takes a lifetime to master.
The Ascendant is that point in the constellation that is on the eastern horizon at the moment of your birth. It carries with it your heroine’s story, the theme of the plot for this life.
I’ve always loved stories and often imagined myself as a key character in the stories I read. I wondered what my life would be like if I was like the heroine in the story. Now I’ve started writing stories. As the author, if I don’t like how things are going, I can change the course of action and the characters and even the traits of the characters in the story. We can do the same thing in our lives.
When we come to telling our personal stories, our narratives need characters, a goal or something that the character must do and obstacles that must be overcome. Each of us comes complete with the plot. The heroine has strengths she doesn’t know she has and also flaws that sabotage her and create tension. Villains throw hurdles, create mountains and undermine her so that she can learn, grow and become more than she was when she started.
In my case with a Sagittarius Ascendant and destiny, the story my Soul is telling my Leo Sun goes something like this: “Surrender your ego to Spirit and trust yourself and others. Become the Wise Woman who perpetually seeks the truth with eternal optimism, who heals people’s self-image by creatively helping them to see a bigger perspective of themselves and retell a different, more optimistic and enlightened version of their stories of the past. Seek the deeper, bigger truth and find the humor in the mistakes of the past, forgive those that hurt. Don’t get lost in philosophies, instead, add your truth to the greater whole. Like a heroine in a good novel, grow and expand and serve selflessly, showing others how we all fit into the same bigger picture.”
Of course, the more I learn, the deeper the meaning of the Soul’s story.
I’d like to teach you how you can write the story of your Soul’s mission. You can take the themes of the Fire signs and apply them to the life areas where the major planets are located, add in the gate themes and you get more clarity and detail. Receive your marching orders from your Soul.
